A queen-size sampler Quilt

When it is time to re-do a room, where do you start? I decided to start with the quilt. I was encouraged by my quilting mentors to “go for it” so, I did. I am creating a log cabin/sampler quilt. I am just over half-way through. The picture about is the log cabin block – I have made 22 and I need to make 28. I am happy to coach or encourage ANYONE who want to start quilting – it is such an amazing hobby. I will share the pieces of the quilt and the process of completing it. If you have ever done anything like this, you know it is a big deal. I quilted with my mother and grandmother and I know that they created beautiful quilts that were sold at fundraisers in their church or given away. It brings me joy every time I create something for someone else.
