Ten Things that Happen When We are Authentic

On 2021-05-24 by Pam

Being our authentic selves means we are owning our reality, facing our fears and accepting and loving our imperfections without excuses. We choose to pursue our truth and wholeness, to find joy instead of just seeking immediate gratification and acceptance.
1. You don’t try to justify decisions. You take responsibility for your choices and you are honest. You don’t make excuses.
2. You don’t hide from difficult emotions. You acknowledge you real emotions and deal with them.
3. You have a healthy way of supporting and helping others that doesn’t impact you own self care.
4. You don’t judge others.
5. You don’t seek attention and gratification from others – you are living you best life.
6. Sometimes it you feel a bit lost at first and there is sometimes some anger at people and life – you have to develop tolerance for those who are not on the same journey as you are.
7. It is difficult to be tactfully honest – you have fewer friends – social gatherings are less appealing.
8. You acknowledge and forgive your mistakes – you take more risks and you are more creative – you start doing things differently.
9, You let go of habits and mindsets that make us feel safe and comfortable.
10. You create your own book to live by – no more “supposed to”. Life becomes so different than it was – for the better.
