I have now made 10 of these baby quilts – they are easy to make and, as I have improved in all my skills as a quilter – even easier. I machine quilt the animal patterns on them and I use a combination of stash fabric (you need 1 fat quarter for each of the colours and about 3 meters of one colour for the backing and binding). You need batting and you need to find someone who is having a baby!! This quilt is for one of both my boys childhood friend’s, Alyssa. She lives in British Colombia now – in the middle of forest fire evacuations and waiting for her bundle (a girl) to arrive. I have attached the link to the tutorial for the quilt: http://neverenoughhours.blogspot.com/2010/08/fat-quarter-baby-quilt-tutorial.html
