Canadian Living is one of my favourite magazines. I love trying new recipes and meal plans and their test kitchen always comes up with something fun and delicious and seasonal. This tart can be made with a pre-made pie shell or the recipe that is attached – I used a gluten free pre-made pie shell

Pickled Green Beans
3 lbs of green beans8 cloves of garlic6 cups of white or pickling vinegar6 cups of water1/4 cup of pickling salt8 springs of dill1/8 teaspoon of cayenne pepper per jar Wash and trim beans so that they fit in the jars. Boil vinegar, salt and water and cloves of water. Bring to a rolling boil.
The Best Chicken Marinade EVER!!
bUTTERMILK MARINADE 4 chicken breasts (I cut mine into cubes and made shish-ka-bobs)1 1/2 cups of buttermilk1 tablespoon of minced garlic2 teaspoons of Italian Seasoning1/2 teaspoon of chili powder1 tablespoon of brown sugarsalt and pepper2 tablespoons of melted butter Mix everything in a resealable bag and leave in the refrigerator for from 5 – 24
