The Super Size Sampler Quilt

On February 11, 2022 by Pam

The time has come! All the blocks are sewn – log cabin and sampler blocks and the design has been photographed and I have begun to sew it together. This will be quilted on a long arm quilting machine by someone else – paid for because it would not be possible to machine quilt something that will be a king-sized bedroom quilt in the end.

I love the colours of this quilt and I will be painting our bedroom to match…a great excuse for a little remodelling. Right now, I am ready to spackle the walls and put on the primer coat and choose the colour for the walls.

Putting the quilt together is all about the squaring each block to 12 – 1/2 inches (I bought the ruler that helps me do that), watching to make sure that I don’t loose my points and focusing on the 1/4 inch seam (a personal favourite of mine)!!
