The Wanderer’s Wife…always grateful for my Quilting Group…
On April 14, 2022 by PamA shout out to Sheila who has joined our group as colour consultant and coach. No job is too big or small – pressing fabric, reading patterns, consulting on fabric choices. We love having Sheila as part of our group!
We are accumulating a LOT of blocks! Are they the right size? Not all of them and never exactly but, the we are confident that we will make this work!! We still have a lot of blocks to create. Our fabric choices are SO different and we are always grateful when someone has surged ahead to help the rest of us with assembling the block.
Dumping out the baskets of fabrics and beginning to choose the colour way for the next block is definitely the favourite part of any quilting morning. As you can see from the pictures below, we all choose very different combinations of colours. Good friends celebrate and support each other! I am so grateful for these friends – gratitude makes us appreciate the value of something, we don’t take things for granted. Instead we adapt to goodness in our lives, we celebrate goodness and we become greater participants in our lives as opposed to spectators. Gratitude helps us feel connected to ourselves and others because it reflects what we value and brings meaning to our lives. I know – very deep for quilting group – but, taking a moment to breathe, appreciate beauty and friendship and reflect on what is important in your life – is a great way to start every day!
