Lamb Burgers with Charred OnionsOn May 6, 2022 by Pam
It is BARBEQUE SEASON again! Try these simple and delicious burgers…fast and easy. Grilling the onions makes them SO delicious! Perfect for any quick and easy weeknight dinner.
4 large four inch red onion slices – sprayed.
2 ripe avocados
1/2 cup of goat cheese herbed feta
juice from 1 lime
1 sliced tomato or 8 large sundried tomatoes in oil
lettuce or spinach leaves
1 lb of lean ground lamb
1 teaspoon each of onion powder, garlic powder, dried oregano, dried dill and cumin
Salt and pepper
4 hamburger buns
Mix all the spices with the lamb – season with salt and pepper and shape into 4 patties.
Spray grill with oil or cover with foil and spray or use grill mats (sprayed with oil). BBQ burgers and onions – onions should be charred and burgers should be 160 F for well done.
Using a hand mixer, create a sauce using avocados, lime juice and feta. Spread this on the bottom of each bun cover with lettuce and tomatoes, top with charred onion and burger. Enjoy!
