Mother’s Day…
On May 8, 2022 by PamI love being a mom. I love it as much now as I did when my boys were little babies. I love watching them become strong and capable, deal with life as life comes and try to be the best versions of themselves. I miss having a mom – it is a gift – connection and relationships are a gift. The first picture is my mother on her wedding day – 1956. She passed away 26 years ago. This story offers a very different perspective on Mother’s Day. We need to remember it is not the same for everyone and it is really important to celebrate each other as women – for our strengths, weaknesses, struggles, differences and our ability to love unconditionally. I love having a family – families exist in many different ways and it is so important for everyone to be who they are and become better and more connected every. single. day. No judgements because we are all just our story and when we listen with an open heart, we stay connected. We all get to be who we are – growing, changing, learning and yes, sometimes even hurtful. We get through life because we learn to know ourselves first, live by boundaries and share our beautiful, sometimes heartbreaking stories.
