A Little Update on the Wanderer’s Wife…

On 2022-05-19 by Pam

We had a short hiatus, but now we are back. Most of the main blocks are finished – we are on the last one and then we will be creating the “filler blocks” – of which there are many. We are now considering how to keep everything straight and so, a spread sheet will be developed to help us keep track of all the blocks and where they belong. This is a fun and challenging task and I don’t think we will have any scraps left by the time we are done.

I did a little experiment by putting together part of section one (there are 10 sections in the complete quilt). I wanted to give it a try to see if our blocks (and their various sizes) actually would fit together to make the quilt. It worked out (with afew minor adjustments).

My attempt at section 1 (it is partially complete).

The many “main” blocks of The Wanderer’s Wife will be combined with filler blocks and strips to complete the entire quilt.

I also made a start on creating some filler blocks. There are many – these are square in a square blocks and I made 35 in all….
