Flat Iron Travel Case

It is always fun to try something new and this project was a request from a friend – for her mother-in-law. We first had a fun discussion about it being a travel case for a FLAT iron and not a CLOTHES iron and I credit my friend Jayde for finding this pattern. It is simple and very practical.

Just afew tips from me:
I sewed on snaps instead of using velcro dots because I thought they would travel better and be more durable.
I made my own binding – 2 – 1/2 inch strips.
I press it in half and then sew the raw edge to the right side of the case. I have included an excellent tutorial on binding below:
