2023 Sock Project Give Away – January
On February 2, 2023 by PamThis year, instead of holding on to all the socks and giving them away at the end of the year, I am giving the socks away as I make them. This pair was made out of yarn scraps – little pieces of leftover yarn from various other socks that have been made previously. The best recipient for this pair is a hiker or a skier and so I have found someone who hikes regularly and will appreciate the socks. These socks are made of wool and therefore, they keep you warm and when they get wet, they stay warm because wool wicks moisture away from the skin and then uses your body heat to evaporate the water from the socks. A pair of wool socks is perfect for a day of hiking or skiing.
The pattern is posted below: It fits a size 10 woman’s foot or a size 11-12 men’s foot.
