Now that the front of the quilt is complete, it was time to think about the back of the quilt. You can find backing material that is wide and large but, in keeping with the “use your stash” theme of this project, I decided to create my own backing. I measured the quilt and determined that I needed 30 – 10 1/2 inch squares to cover the quilt. Again, I wanted to keep with using “random” fabrics so, I went through my stash and found the fabric for the back. So, here we go…the next step will be to add the batting, pin the quilt and then determine how I am going to machine quilt it. But, all in all, this project is coming to a close!!
