Flowers in the House…

You will almost always find flowers in my house. Along with beautiful plants, I love flowers – in pots, in a vase…they bring colour and light during the long winter nights. In the summer, my flowers are in pots around the patio or growing in the front garden, but, when the garden falls asleep in the Autumn, I move my plants in and pick up a bouquet or pot of flowers when I go out shopping. You don’t have to spend lots of money to have beautiful flowers….I can purchase a pot of mums for less than $20..or splurge on a 3 for $25 set of bouquets at Sobey’s. Today, as a winter storm blows outside – I can look around my house and see flowers (both purchased for me and by me) and know that, despite the cold wind and blowing snow – spring is around the corner.

A Christmas Cactus that just won’t stop blooming….from Uncle John and Chris….(and I still have my poinsettia)….
