The 2023 Sock Project – April Sock
On April 19, 2023 by PamThis months sock goes to our dear friend and naturopath, Dr. Carrie. After recording an amazing podcast with her (I hope you have had a chance to listen), I decided that I would knit her a pair of socks. Dr. Carrie loves to be outdoors – and she is positive, loves her job and definitely does her best to make the world a better place and help those around her to live their best lives. Dr. Carrie’s socks are teal, her favourite colour.
I used the yarn that we purchased at the fiber market in Hamilton last month. It was purchased at the booth belonging to “The Yarn Therapist”. All their yarn is hand dyed in Ontario, Canada. It is 100% superwash merino. I bought two 115 g balls of DK weight. I finished my first pair with some yarn still on the first ball so, that is exciting. The Yarn Therapist has an etsy shop online.
As you can tell, I am getting better at socks. I used to be able to squeak one in every month…usually finishing it on the last day of the month. I will see if I can knit another complete pair in the next 11 days…who knows? It is so exciting to be able to learn something new and get better and better at it. You just never know what you can do until you try!!
You are so talented. I need to start knitting socks. On my bucket list . Tried but gave up a number of years ago. When your feet are always cold homemade socks definitely fit the bill.❤️
The more you do it…the better you get…lol The patterns I post are very easy to follow! We need to get together for coffee sometimes!!
