Crocheted Baby Blanket

This little wee one has already been born and so, I am working diligently to complete it as soon as possible. Not everyone appreciates the beauty of handmade but, this mommy does and so, I will happily send it bouncing out to British Colombia to snuggle her new little girl.
I recently read that we should shift from consumption to creation. As Nathanial Hawthorne says, “Happiness is not found in things you possess but, in what you have the courage to release.” Beautiful does not have to be complicated. Giving to others, showing you care, making an effort to spend time each week doing something kind and generous for someone else – in that lies the meaning and purpose of life.

This pattern is straightforward – it could be done in stripes or a complete solid – or any fancier DK yarn.
