The 2023 Sock Give-AwayOn June 17, 2023 by Pam
I am getting very fast at knitting socks. Every month yields about 3 socks now – maybe even 2 pairs. I have now decided that it is time to try a new pattern. I have been creating toe-up socks. They are fairly straight forward and I have the pattern pretty much memorized – it is just a matter of adjusting the number of stitches depending on the size. So, I am now going to try starting at the cuff and working my way down. It is important to change things up – it is also comforting to have those things in your life that are habits and patterns that bring us comfort and ease.
I recently read (Seth Godin – The Song of Significance) that we should not apologize for change because change is the point. He also suggests that we should always look for feedback and you can always say, “Here I made this, please help me make it better.”. So, enjoy looking at my sock but, better yet, try one yourself and make it better than mine – and than I will make my next sock even better, and so on and so on….
