Dishcloths from Summer to Fall…

I have now moved from Summer to Autumn in my “Year of Dishcloths”. The best thing about this project is choosing the colours! Cotton yarn is NOT expensive (usually less than $3 a ball) and so it is fun to accumulate many beautiful colours and to incorporate them into the variety of the patterns in the book.

I have completed Spring and Summer (a total of 27) dishcloths. I have chosen to do 2 of each pattern – the first is the “trial” and the second allows me to completely understand and perfect (or get better at) the stitches and the pattern. The “Candy Corn” pattern is just the beginning of my journey into Fall patterns. There are turkeys and pumpkins to come, school bus and apples – so, stayed tuned in the weeks to come. I have picked out some beautiful browns, oranges and yellows to celebrate the coming of Fall.
