Are you ready for SPRING?
On February 5, 2024 by PamAlthough we really haven’t really had much winter…spring is really just around the corner. Easter Sunday is March 31st this year and Shrove Tuesday is on February 13th. We are already well into the first week of February and the first day of spring is about one month away on March 19th. I love the changes in season and I missed having a “real” winter this year. I am not going to give a commentary on global warning but, I sometimes wonder why we don’t try to make more of a difference and how distracted we are right now with the cost of living and housing and immigration and visa denial.
www.earthday.org has a lot of information and it a great place to start, especially for teachers and parents who want to help their children understand and learn more about Climate Change and Climate Action.
I keep crocheting and knitting and trying NOT to buy things I don’t need and recycle and donate the things that I can. Currently, by using the cotton yarn that I have available, I am knitting dishcloths – they are beautiful and they are useful and they do cheer up my neighbours and friends. Does it make much of a difference? Not really. I just think being kind to each other is a start because when we are kind to each other, it reminds us to also be kind to our earth.
