Little Valentine Treats….
On February 13, 2024 by PamThese dishcloths have been transformed into little Valentine gifts by tying them around the top of some preserves – sour cherry jam and marmalade. The flower on the top really “sticks” up so it would make a good “scrubber” for dishes.
The blue dishcloths are actually little butterflies…a reminder of spring around the corner. There are 20 flowers that attract butterflies and I definitely want to add some to my garden this year.
I already have a Butterfly Bush. I always plant marigolds (especially around my tomatoes). I have lots of cornflower and lavender, as well as daylilies and pansies, and phlox. Shasta daisies also attract butterflies, as do snapdragons. This year, I want to add ninebark and mallow, bee balm, sedum and yarrow. Finally, I will add buttonbush and sunflowers.
Beauty is all around us and so why shouldn’t we have beautiful cloths in our kitchens to make a colourful additions to our “dish washing”.
