Same Dishcloth…Different Colours…
On March 16, 2024 by PamIt is amazing what you can do with different colours when you are designing. You can take the same pattern – be it for a quilt, or a dishcloth, a sweater or a hat – and combine different colours of fabric or yarn and produce two items with a very different look.
I have been reading a book by Richard Rohr called “Just This” and one of the chapters is about “changing sides” – the idea of looking at life from different perspectives The quote from the book that I like is, “What is the ultimate and defining position from which you look at life? Is it from the top down, from the edge in, from the bottom up? Is it from unrecognized white privilege, from clergy specialness, from access to money? Is it form chosen victimhood, from minority anger, from gender overcompensation, from implicit racism? Is it from your definition of “salvation” as compared to the secular liberals, archconservatives, or infidels? To shift your consciousness about the way you look at life, practice looking at it – and being looked at – from a different perspective: by wearing different clothes, for example, and then observing how you see yourself and how others relate differently to you.”
Add colour to your life by changing your perspective. Practice it daily.
