Socks and Sock Yarn…

I am often complimented on the combination of colours for my socks. I tell everyone it is the yarn and I laugh but, in fact it really is. Sock yarn is created by machine to created patterns and stripes as you knit the socks. It requires you to be flexible and make socks that are “cousins” instead of twins but, the results are always unique and beautiful. You can also buy self-striping or self-patterning sock yarn that is divided perfectly so that you can make “twin” socks. Hand-made socks should be washed in cold and hung to dry in order to help the last longer. Knitting socks is now a “habit” for me – I can read, watch TV and hold a conversation – even ride in the car. Try a sock pattern with some self-striping or self-patterning yarn, you will be amazed.
