Pumpkin Garland
On September 9, 2024 by PamAutumn is here and with it comes time to bring out some decorations that suit the season, pumpkins, sunflowers, coloured leaves, cornucopia, scarecrows, corn stalks, bales of hay, buckets of mums and so much more. Over the weekend, I created a simple pumpkin garland. We have a double fireplace in our house so we have two mantles to decorate.
I simple pumpkin shape, some twisted manila rope, a glue gun, pinking shears and some stuffing. I cut out 14 different pumpkins, put a small amount of flat stuffing inside and sewed around the edge. I clipped around each pumpkin with pinking shears and glued them along the twine. A beautiful and simple garland for fall can be completed in about 2 hours. Any shape of pumpkin will work and you can choose the size of pumpkin you want – they can be all the same colour or various colours, like I did. Try a simple little sewing project and bring some Autumn into your home.
