Beef and Broccoli
On September 11, 2024 by PamFor a quick meal that is healthy and delicious, throw together this dish in about 20 minutes.
1 lb of steak, cut into thin strips
1/2 teaspoon of ground white pepper
Season the meat with the white pepper and set it aside.
Combine 1/3 cup of soya sauce and 1/3 cup of water and 1 tablespoon of honey and set aside.
Mince 5 cloves of garlic and a 1 inch piece of ginger and 1 yellow onion, sliced.
Slice a red pepper, mushrooms and cut up two small heads of broccoli.
Heat 2 tablespoons of sesame oil in a pot, add the steak, onion, ginger and garlic and saute until the meat is browned. Add the red pepper and mushrooms and cook until the vegetables begin to sweat. Add the broccoli and the soya sauce mixture and steam, with the lid on for about 3 minutes.
Use cornstarch to thicken the sauce.
Serve with sesame seeds and green onion.
You can also serve this on rice.
