An Autumn Project

I have created my own fabric before – it is called crumb quilted. I used it to make a pillow. This Autumn, I am working on a coat. I have currently created all the fabric for the front pieces, the arms and the back by sewing together pieces of fabric from my collection (and a bit that I purchased) to create the fabric. I cut lining for each piece and put batting in between. I will now be quilting each piece and then, I need to choose fabric for pockets and a collar. I am hoping to assemble it within the next few weeks so I can wear it as the weather cools this Autumn. It is definitely a new and challenging project but, I love trying new things and always encourage everyone in my circle to try something new every day.
