This is another great way to use up scraps of fabric. I am including them with my little bunny
“un-birthday” gifts for the little girls at the birthday party.
When I work on these little projects (or bigger projects), I loose myself in the “flow”. It allows me to just focus on what I am doing and shut out the rest of the world. I have the skills – experience, proficiency and confidence and I experience a lot of joy and satisfaction. My inner critic is completely silenced and I have total clarity about what I am doing – no ambiguity and a clear outcome.
I recently read about different kinds of rest:
Physical Rest can be passive or active. It can mean sleeping, stretching, massage or deep breathing.
Mental Rest is a brain break. You can take a walk, doodle, journal or meditate.
Emotional Rest is when you express your thoughts and say “no” more often.
Creative Rest is a break from problems, planning, weighing risks, making decisions, communicating and it is doing stuff outside your regular routine (like nature or art).
Sensory Rest is when you simply “unplug” from stimuli like phones, TV, etc. and just enjoy quiet.
Social Rest is when you deliberately avoid or minimize exhausting relationships.
Spiritual Rest is when you seek inspiration and engage in a spiritual practice like yoga, journal writing, contemplation, prayer, etc.
In this world of goals and stress, it is OK to rest.
