Have you played Carrom?
On 2025-04-21 by PamThis Easter, we got out our crokinole board for a few rounds. Zachary loves to play crokinole, so, he was introducing the game to his new partner, Angel. During the game, Angel told us about carrom – a game that she played as a child in India. We bought the game and tried it for the first time today. Carrom is a tabletop game of Indian origin in which players flick discs, attempting to knock them to the corners of the board. In South Asia, many clubs and cafés hold regular tournaments. Carrom is commonly played by families, including children, and at social functions. Different standards and rules exist in different areas.
We are always excited to learn and try something new around here and so, it was a lot of fun to have Angel introduce us to one of her family traditions.
