Giving the Blog a Facelift…
We are working our way through the pages of our blog to update and expand our reach. When you start looking at the physical blog, you start thinking about your “why”, so I though I would share some of the “whys” with you.
1. We are bombarded with information through various formats that make their money by stimulating our fear or anger responses. We want to provide content that speaks to our higher selves. Through books and research and experience, we want to share what we have learned, what we love and what has changed our lives. There are also recipes, creative projects and even some advice, if you are interested.
2. Everyone has unique perspective formed by your individual experiences. If you do not share it, nobody else will. There are people out there that will only get the message if you share it. We are working on ways to engage our audience more so, stay tuned.
3. One of our goals in life is to give back. We have some wisdom about things like parenting, health and exercise – books that have changed our lives and much more. We want to be role models of sharing and supporting others, without judgment. Sharing what we are up to shows people possibilities they would not have imagined. We provide access to the beliefs and our own mindset that can serve to inspire someone else.
4. Having a habit of sharing our insights has inspired us to look for them. It has been a great way to become present in our own life. Living our lives with an eye to the story we can tell. We try to share our learnings from our challenging experiences and give a new powerful meaning to our journey. When we help and support others by sharing what we have learned through our challenges is fulfilling to both yourself and your family. It makes you feel as if you haven’t suffered for nothing.
5. Writing helps clarify my thoughts and is often a therapeutic process. Comments and feedback help sharpen my ideas even more.
6. We are building a body of work and a legacy our kids and grandkids can access.
7. A blog is a diary and documentation of our experiences and evolution. It allows me to connect with my younger self and people who have been part of my journey.
8. Blogging or microblogging on social media is one of the best self-awareness exercises you can do.
9. this is a creative outlet for us. It is a chance to share the fun things we are doing and learning. There is no boredom. I can create a post anywhere.
10. Sharing our ideas builds community and connection.
11. You are more likely to find and engage with like-minded people who share your values. Your content weeds out the non-compatible people and attracts those who are a good fit. You can build a worldwide community.
12. Writing has been proven to help keep your brain sharp and young.
Keep watching for more changes!
