Why I Started Rise & Restore Coaching
Men Who Take Action, Not Men Who Wait
The men I work with aren’t passive. They’ve already done what they were supposed to do. They’ve seen the doctors, followed the treatment plan, and gotten the all-clear. And then they’ve been left standing in a gap nobody warned them about: medically stable, but not functioning the way they want to, sometimes surprised by this and not sure where to turn. Rise & Restore Coaching exists for that gap. I work with men navigating erectile dysfunction where medical causes have been ruled out, men in prostate cancer treatment and recovery, and men who want practical, structured support rebuilding body confidence and intimate connection after their lives have been disrupted by illness or stress. These aren’t men waiting to be rescued. They’re men who’ve decided the gap isn’t permanent and want a path through it.
What a Coach Brings That a Clinic or Therapist Doesn’t

I went through prostate surgery myself. That experience, combined with decades of adult education, is the foundation of how I work, not as a clinician, but as someone who has navigated the same terrain and built a structured, evidence-informed approach from it. What coaching offers that medical care often doesn’t is time, continuity, and a focus on implementation. Knowing what should help and actually installing it under pressure are different problems. We work together on the practical mechanics of nervous system regulation, arousal retraining, pelvic awareness, and identity reconstruction: the unglamorous, incremental work that determines whether recovery stalls or moves.
Partners Belong in This Conversation
One thing I am direct about: this affects couples, not just individuals. Partners often feel sidelined, informed enough to worry but not included enough to help. Rise & Restore offers coaching pathways for couples specifically, with structured communication tools, intimacy re-entry frameworks, and a shared language for what’s actually happening. When partners understand the mechanics and have a defined role in the process, outcomes improve. That’s not sentiment; it’s consistent with what research on sexual health recovery shows about the importance of relational support.
Prevention as Education: What Men Can Do Before There’s a Problem
I also look for opportunities to speak at community events and gatherings where men congregate, including service clubs, fitness groups, and workplace wellness sessions, to cover something most men never get told: prostate health is more within your control than we are inclined to think. Diet, chronic stress, exercise habits, and ejaculation frequency all have documented relationships with prostate cancer risk. Research published in European Urology has found some surprising data associated with meaningfully lower rates of non-aggressive prostate cancer diagnosis. That’s the kind of information men deserve to hear before a diagnosis changes the conversation. I am a firm believer in education and awareness delivered in the spaces where men are already showing up, without requiring them to identify as patients first.
