A Pair of Socks for October 2025
Once in awhile when you knit a pair of socks, all the colours just work. I am creating socks out of wool that is already in our stash and so, sometimes I am putting together a variety of colours to make a pair that might not always perfectly match. This happens because you look at an amount of wool and think it is enough for the cuff, or heel, or toe and it turns out that it is not quite enough so, you make do. The socks you create become fraternal twins instead of identical twins. All fine because your socks are usually hiding in your shoes or under your pant leg…and even if they aren’t, they are a conversation piece. Enjoy the beauty of life – whatever it presents – and enjoy the fact that you are using what you have and not buying more.
